(Shenzhen, CN) Shenzhen High School of Science Enhances STEM Education with Compound Mobile Robots

Shenzhen High School of Science, a top-tier STEM-focused high school in China, has built 32 advanced labs, including robotics and maker spaces. Its students excel in competitions like China Robotics Challenge(CRC), World Educational Robot Contest(WER), and Shenzhen’s robotics contests, winning multiple first-place awards.
In the past, the school struggled with robotic arms that were expensive, inflexible, PC-dependent, and poorly supported—disrupting class schedules. While preparing a ROS-based application development course, it sought more practical and versatile robotics solutions.
The school ultimately procured our 6-axis robot arms-myCobot and mobile robots myAGV, which can be combined into a compound mobile robot. Teachers valued their Raspberry Pi–based architecture, open-source interfaces, and cost-effectiveness. Standardized educational resources, including the textbook Applications of Compound Mobile Robots, supported course design, while 24/7 technical support provided ongoing assurance and reliability.
On May 10, 2025, Shenzhen High School of Science co-founded China’s first Science High School Alliance with 18 STEM-focused schools. The launch event brought together experts, including Academician Jianping Fan, as well as leading tech enterprises such as Huawei and Tencent. Our compound mobile robots garnered significant attention, showcasing the school’s commitment to advanced, hands-on STEM education.
