(FUDAN, CN) Fudan University Empowers Undergraduate Students with Elephant Robotics' Robots with AI Kits

Fudan University ranked 30th in the 2025 QS World University Rankings. The Academy of Engineering & Technology at Fudan Universityhas been accredited as both the “Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Robotics” and the “Shanghai Engineering Technology Research Center for Intelligent Robotics,” possessing strong research and teaching resources in intelligent robotics and providing solid support for undergraduate robotics instruction and research.

To support the undergraduate course “Introduction to Robotics,” where students explore topics such as kinematics, trajectory planning, and grasp control, Fudan University sought a compact, affordable platform that combined industrial-level precision with educational usability and extensibility for further development. However, most commercial robotic arms proved unsuitable for small-group collaborative experiments.

After evaluation, the team selected the myCobot Pro with Artificial Intelligence Kit. Its lightweight desktop design, integrated structure, open-source ecosystem, and affordable price made it stand out. We also provide equipment deployment assistance and ongoing technical support to ensure smooth use in coursework and experiments. Ultimately, Fudan University procured 16 kits, which now serve as the core experimental apparatus and teaching tools. Working in groups of one to two students per kit, undergraduates can gain hands-on experience, bridging theory and practice in robotics education.
