How it works

Millions of children and elderly people around the world suffer from loneliness and a lack of emotional support. Many face isolation without the comfort of companionship, which can deeply affect their mental and emotional well-being. To help address this issue, we’re committed to donating one MetaCat for every 100 sold. Our goal is to use technology to bring warmth and companionship to those who need it most. We achieve this in two ways:

1. Donating to Care Homes and Children’s Welfare Institutions

We directly donate MetaCats to care homes, elderly facilities, and children’s welfare institutions where groups of people in need of companionship are gathered. This ensures that elderly residents and children receive the emotional support and comfort they deserve, helping to reduce isolation and enhance their well-being.

2. Partnering with Charities to Reach Individuals in Need

Through partnerships with non-profit organizations, we also donate MetaCats to individuals in need of companionship—such as lonely elderly people, children in distress, or those experiencing depression. These organizations distribute the robots to ensure that even those in remote or underserved areas can experience the warmth and care of a companion.

Through our partnership with rehabilitation centers for children with special needs in cities like Shenzhen and Shanghai, we've donated nearly 100 units of our MetaCat robots. These robots have been used as valuable tools in therapy for children with autism, and the impact has been remarkable.

According to feedback from therapists and educators, MetaCat has proven to be a versatile companion in rehabilitation programs. One teacher shared that since introducing MetaCat, children have become more engaged in role-playing activities, such as the “cat and mouse” game, which encourages effective communication and social interaction. The result? An increase in the children’s social initiative and a noticeable improvement in their ability to connect with others. MetaCat seems to be more than just a playful companion—it has become a bridge for children to step out of their emotional isolation and overcome social challenges.
