Jetson Nano is no longer supported by nvidia

Nvidia only provides an ubuntu 18.04 sdcard image. Elephant Robotics have made an attempt at upgrading it to 20.04, but this feels like it has only been partially successful (I email about it, but they haven't responded yet). This makes using modern tools on the device really hard (many pre-compiled rust binaries require a newer glibc than the device has). There is an independent project on github that gives you a relatively clean ubuntu 20.04 sdcard image. I have been using that for now, but there doesn't seem to be any way to get anything newer onto the board. Thanks nvidia.

I bought this, thinking it would be good to have something that could run cuda. It turns out the jetson nano can only run very small models, so my current plan is to do all of my inference on GCP/Google Colab with some port forwarding magic, and ignore the on-device compute.

The robot arm and gripper seem to be working fine. I just wish that I'd known about the nvidia problem in advance, and bought the Raspberry Pi version instead.
